Handsome English brass footman designed for the fireside. The rectangular top sits above a shaped apron with diamond and scroll cut-outs and applied bosses; rolled side handles and cabriole front legs ending in lion-paw feet complete the profile, with lighter turned rear legs. Constructed in sheet and cast brass with domed rivets at the joints—classic 19th-century manufacture. Nicely polished but retaining honest age: scattered small dings, surface scratches to the top, and speckled patination—sturdy and ready to use as a fireside stand, plant stand, or low side table.

Origin: England

Period: Victorian, circa 1850–1880

Materials: cast and sheet brass, riveted construction

Condition: good antique condition with expected wear; no structural issues
