Each chair features a dramatic scrolled “klismos” crest rail, a shaped veneered flame-mahogany back splat, and elegant sabre front legs that flow into curved rear stiles—classic lines of the period. The grain is exceptional, with lively crotch/“flame” figure that reads beautifully under a warm, old finish. Seats are freshly done in a rich royal-blue velvet that sets off the wood.
