A striking Danish oak highback platform rocking chair, circa 1970s, in the manner of Henning Kjærnulf. The chair features a sculptural turned oak frame with beautifully bobbin-carved posts, shaped arms, and a substantial platform rocker base.

The deep burgundy mohair upholstery adds a rich, dramatic contrast to the pale oak, finished with brass nailhead trim for a wonderful old-world detail. The tall back, architectural frame, and rocking base give the piece both presence and comfort — part throne chair, part Danish rustic modern statement.

A beautiful accent chair for a library, study, bedroom corner, fireside space, or layered antique and mid-century interior.
