Antique 1832 Terenure House, Co. Dublin Engraving by George Petrie & J. McGahey

Antique hand-colored line engraving of Terenure House, County Dublin, drawn by noted Irish artist and antiquarian George Petrie (1790–1866) and engraved by J. McGahey.

Published in London by Fisher, Son & Co. in 1832, the plate is titled Terenure; Co. Dublin and identifies the estate as “The Seat of Frederick Bourne Esqre., to whom this plate is respectfully inscribed.” The National Library of Ireland records this same composition as a line engraving, with an image size of approximately 10 × 16 cm; the plate was later republished in 1839.

The view shows Terenure House—now Terenure College—with its grounds and lake, including figures boating and swans on the water.
