Exceptional late 19th-century French jardinière, later converted into a bijouterie or jewelry display table. Executed in richly figured wood veneers with contrasting ebonized details and elaborate gilt-bronze mounts, the piece features a shaped upper case, decorative bronze gallery, sculptural cabriole legs, and an elegant lower stretcher.

The removable jewelry display insert sits beneath the hinged glass top and allows the piece to be used as a vitrine for jewelry, small collectibles, or precious objects. With the display insert removed, the table can return to its original function as a jardinière.
