Silver-tone spelter (cast zinc alloy) with a soft, pewter-like finish; scrolling rococo sides on paw feet. Oval hinged lid set with a robin’s-egg enameled metal plaque (opaque enamel, not porcelain), centered by a beaded lozenge. Interior lined in red plush—perfect ring/earring keeper for a dressing table.

Condition:

Even, attractive patina to the silvering; a few tiny age marks/rubs to metal and velvet from use. Enamel shows nicely with normal micro-scuffs only.
