Finely molded dessert plate with a rippled, scalloped rim finished in deep cranberry-puce enamel. The border carries alternating reserves of stenciled gilt blossoms and laurel sprigs, framing a central transfer print of an 18th-century lady in garden dress—one of the “fashion” vignettes popular on Carlsbad export porcelains at the turn of the century. Thin, bright white body typical of Bohemian porcelain.

Backstamp: circular Carlsbad/Austria medallion mark (Bohemia, then Austro-Hungarian Empire), used for export in the early 20th century.

Decoration: transfer-printed central scene with hand-tinted coloring; puce enamel rim; gilt stencilwork.

Period/Style: Late Victorian–Edwardian; Rococo Revival “Dresden-style” taste.

Condition: light, expected wear to the gilt and puce at the high points; clean surface; no hairlines seen.

Pretty on its own or mixed into a gallery wall of portrait and Dresden-style plates.

Diameter: 6"
