Lavish Belle-Époque Limoges porcelain charger with a deeply molded rocaille rim heavily gilded in raised gold and an inner garland border. Crisp white well with a small gilt script monogram at the top (reads as J to most eyes). A striking cabinet plate or centerpiece that glows under candlelight.

Maker/mark: “J.P. / L. / FRANCE” (Jean Pouyat, Limoges) to reverse

Origin: France

Date: ca. 1890–1910

Material: Hard-paste porcelain with hand-applied gilding

Dimensions: 14" diameter

Condition: Light, expected rubbing to the highest points of the gilt; no chips or cracks observed.

Style notes: Rococo Revival scrollwork, raised gold (“impasto”) accents, classic Belle-Époque dining.
