A refined French bombe commode, dating to the late 19th century, circa 1880–1900, executed in the Louis XV Revival style. The commode features a gracefully curved bombe case with three drawers, each decorated with fine floral marquetry framed by delicate inlaid borders. The marquetry extends to the sides of the case, indicating a higher level of craftsmanship and decorative intent.

The drawer fronts are fitted with ornate cast bronze pulls and escutcheons, while substantial bronze corner mountsaccentuate the curvature of the body. The commode is topped with its original green marble top, shaped to follow the bombe form and finished with a molded edge.

The case rests on short cabriole legs, seamlessly integrated into the curved silhouette. The wood surfaces display a rich, warm patina, with visible depth and contrast in the veneers typical of French decorative furniture produced during the Belle Époque period.

A sophisticated and highly decorative example of late 19th-century French cabinetmaking, well suited for use as a statement commode in a bedroom, living space, or refined interior.
