Open-work frame with scrolling acanthus, shells, and floral cartouches in a two-tone silvered and gilt finish. Carved wood with gesso/composition ornament surrounds an original beveled oval plate, which adds sparkle and depth. Attractive, even patina with small nicks, edge rubs, and light craquelure at the high points—structurally sound and ready to hang above a console or in an entry.
