Antique ribbed clear glass vase with a finely worked gilt metal rim mount and applied ornamental cartouche with hanging decorative drop. The vertically ribbed glass body rises from a molded footed base, providing both visual structure and light refraction. The gilt metal mount is delicately detailed, adding contrast and refinement to the transparent glass form. Produced in the late 19th century during the Victorian period, when mixed-material decorative glass vessels were favored for parlor and table display.
